Blogging is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while, but it’s a bit scary sharing your inner most thoughts and feelings with the rest of the world. (Even though no-one will probably ever read this!)

My husband and I recently started trying for a baby. It’s been 4 months and no bubba so far but we’re hoping it will happen for us soon. I’ve been thinking about it non stop – looking at mum bloggers Instagram pages, baby clothes sites and feeling that little twinge of jealousy every time a pregnancy announcement pops up on my Facebook feed. I’m really trying to make an effort to enjoy the present and stop waiting for the future to come.

Anyway, it seemed like a good time to start a blog. I want to document this stage of my life for me to look back on and also for my future children. I can document their journey as well, before they even exist. I love the name Lucy for a girl, hence the title of my blog but I have nothing or a boy! I feel like all the good names are taken….

I’ll leave it there for now. I had actually forgotten how much I like writing so I’ll be back soon. I might tell you a little more about myself in my next post.
